I can highly recommend Pippa’s workshops.  You work quite hard but in a very gentle and calm way.  She covers a specific topic which I really enjoy. I always come out wishing it had lasted longer but I feel very relaxed, calm and peaceful and ready to confront the busy world outside.  Jenni Slinn.

FREEING YOUR BREATH - NURTURING HEALTH

Our breathing pattern affects every system in our body; our digestion, heart function, nervous system and how we think.  This workshop will help you get in touch with how you breathe and guide you to establish a free and natural breathing pattern.  We will focus on releasing the diaphragm under our ribs but to do this we need to loosen up the whole body as everything works together.  Come prepared to do some pair work, breathe, move and experience deep relaxation.

FREEING YOUR WINGS

This is a workshop for you to enjoy and to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Haven charity.  As many of you know I had treatment for Breast Cancer in 2017/18.  I want to support the work of this charity as it helped me through a very difficult time and has also given me the support I needed to move forward healthily into life.  I will donate a minimum of 50% of the profit from this workshop, aiming to raise £600 combined with a just giving page.   https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pippayoga

This is a slightly extended session which allows that extra bit of breathing space at the end.  We will be exploring ways of releasing upper shoulder tension and learning how to move from the torso and shoulder blade.  When we do this, the arms begin to feel like wings, there is a feeling of expansion and lightness through the upper body.  This physical experience creates feelings of joy and optimism.  We will be doing yoga postures, somatic movement, partner work, breathing and relaxation with a short meditation towards the end. 
This session will be useful if you have any shoulder tension or have had surgery (after approximately 6 months, no swelling or broken skin).  The teaching will be gentle and work deeply.
This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners.  Some experience of Yoga or bodywork is necessary.

Are you Sitting Comfortably?.....
Finding Balance and Ease as we Sit.

Do you ever get back or neck ache? Sitting upright can be tiring and uncomfortable. For many of us being asked to sit in a yoga class, especially to meditate, can feel like something that must be good for you but you don’t really want to do it; a bit like taking cod liver oil. Sitting at a computer or desk for any length of time can creates aches and pains and more. If you have stiffness in your hips, low back, chest or neck this workshop will help you move these areas and relieve your discomfort. We will then explore seated positions and feel our way to balance through the curves of our spine. When we find that balance, even if momentarily, we can feel internal stability and pleasure in our being. Come prepared to move, breathe, do some pair work and experience deep rest. The last 30 minutes will be spent doing mediation and relaxation.

Breathing the spine to life

SATURDAY 13th July 2019    2 - 4.30pm

Do you ever feel stiff in your spine?  Do you ever get a pain in the neck?
This workshop focuses on where you feel stress in your spine.  Through breath, movement and postures you will bring flexibility, awareness and stability to your back.  You will be restored to a sense of freedom and postural balance.
The spine is a series of curves and when they are in harmony with each other and there is no compression, standing and sitting become effortless as each curve supports the one above it.  However, we usually feel tension where one curve transitions into the next.  For example there is often tension aroundthe base of the neck where it transitions into the thoracic curve.  Most of us experience this at some point!
Come prepared to move, breathe, do some pair work and experience deep rest.  The last 30 minutes will be spent doing meditaion and relaxation.  Beginners and improvers are welcome!

 Cost: £25.  Some concessions available.
