Hello. I am Pippa Graham. Welcome to my website!
I have been teaching yoga for over 30 years and my integrated approach combines yoga postures with fluid movement and energy awareness. I am based in Crouch End, N8 and Muswell Hill, N10. I offer mixed, women only and private yoga classes. Currently, all classes are online.
Who are these classes for?
Do you -
- have an interest in personal growth any sort?
- think you won't be good at yoga because you are too stiff, too unfit or the wrong shape?

Do you struggle with -

- Stiffness and aches and pains that don't shift by themselves

Do you feel there are parts of you that are tightening up and getting locked away, cramping your natural movement and well-being? Through balancing your posture and gentle deep movement, aches and pains are eased and forgotten corners embraced, allowing a fluidity of movement and wellbeing. With Yoga, you can have the enjoyable experience of ageing youthfully.
Yoga is also wonderful for tackling stress. If you tend to get stuck in flight and fight response, then these classes can help you feel calm and emotionally grounded. Yoga beautifully stimulates your body's innate healing wisdom and empowers you to heal illness and distress in your body and mind. These classes will provide a pool of resources for you to choose and use in your daily life.
About Yoga with Pippa
This is Yoga taken gently and deeply, guiding you home to yourself. I allow time and space for you to soften your outer body, feel sensation and connect to your breath and life force within. In this way you can enjoy moving freely from the mobility of your physical centre and feeling the connection to your inner energies.
All Yoga is about our experience of ourselves from the inside and is essentially somatic. However, It is quite easy to be distracted by 'How am I doing?' 'How do I look?' We can push ourselves and disconnect from our body quite easily. Our focus is on staying with how it feels and developing your sensory awareness.
All Yoga postures are born out of an awareness of how the life force flows in the body so our practice is informed and supported by this sense of energy movement from within. I balance fluid movements with structural yoga poses, bringing awareness to a specific aspect of our energy system in each session. When we allow ourselves to be present and experience the wholeness of our breath and body from within we can find more joy, freedom and ease of movement. We can expand our awareness and be more present in the world out there. We practice bringing compassionate awareness to ourselves and I encourage an inner listening and respect for the wisdom of your own body. With the right attitude, Yoga brings us back into balance and integrates all parts of ourselves. There is no competition in Yoga, there is only your own journey.
What people have said:
Doing Yoga with Pippa has given me hope and an ongoing sense of the potential of my older body; a greater trust in my body and my muscles to do more than I thought possible; and a forgiveness of myself for doing the best I can do right now. Transformative!

The quiet supportive space nourishes me both emotionally and spiritually. Even though we are not in the same room I sense your support. I feel calmer and experience an inner peace which stays with me for the rest of the day. I appreciate the breathing techniques and periods of meditation as they enable me to feel less agitated.
Myrtle. Retired.
I feel strong and emotionally energised after our yoga sessions. I am more grounded and know that I function better as a result. For me trust is very important in Yoga and I feel Pippa has a deep understanding of the discipline and practice. Her teaching style is clear and often fun. There is no pressure to do anything that doesn't feel manageable.
Maya.
I first came to yoga to alleviate my stress and in many ways I think that your sessions helped me to 'discover' true relaxation! I longed for the time lying down at the end of the class. Now my issue is handling arthritis and I also need these sessions to keep me moving and supple. I always feel rejuvenated by a session which grounds me and at the same time frees me. How is that possible? As a teacher you have the ability to make each of us feel attended to however large the group. There is no judgement or competition in your sessions only a feeling that you have everyone's wellbeing as your focus.
